You can order an accessible taxi from either or . Pre-booking is advised with Club Cars, to ensure they have a suitable vehicle.
Alternatively, you can hail a Hackney Carriage (black cab) at the taxi rank outside Sainsbury’s on Whitworth Street West. This is adjacent to Manchester Oxford Road train station.
Our Manchester office does not have a car park.

What to expect when you arrive
kok体育赛事Step-free access to Bridgewater House is provided via the main entrance on Whitworth Street.
kok体育赛事The accessible door is located to the right of the rotating door. This door is 110cm wide and opens inwards. It can be opened by pushing the intercom button.

Inside the building
The ground floor of Bridgewater House is a large, open-plan reception, café and seating area which is split into an upper and lower level.
kok体育赛事The building reception is on the lower level. There are nine steps leading to the upper level. These steps have handrails on either side.
Wheelchair or pushchair access to the upper level is via a platform lift. The lift gate opens outwards. The width of the lift gate is 83cm. To use the lift you will need to ask for assistance at the building reception.
kok体育赛事The accessible toilet is located along a corridor to the rear of the upper level. There are double doors leading into the corridor. These doors are 165cm wide.
The toilet door opens inwards and is 86cm wide.
Lifts and stairs
kok体育赛事You can reach our office on the sixth floor by using the passenger lifts or stairs, located to the left of ground floor reception.
- The lift doors are 83cm in width and the buttons are within 112cm of the floor.
- The lift buttons are raised but are not in Braille.
- The lift has an audible announcer.
- The stairs have a handrail on one side.

Office entrance (sixth floor)
When you reach the sixth floor, there are two sets of double doors. The left-hand doors are accessible and can be opened by pushing the large circular button on the green tiled wall. These doors open outwards, into the lift lobby. The width of these doors is 118cm.
Once you pass through the doors, there is an orange ramp on the left which leads into the reception area. There is a hand rail on the right of this ramp.
Reception (sixth floor)
On arrival, you should report to the security officer at the reception desk. The security desk is low-level.
There are three doors leading from reception into different parts of the office. These are:
- double doors leading to the Palace-side of the office: 155cm wide.
- single wooden door leading into the café: 75cm wide.
- single glass door leading to the Atwood-side of the office: 85cm wide. This door is heavy so please ask the Security officer located at the reception desk if you would like assistance.
kok体育赛事The office is open plan and on one level across the sixth floor. Walkways are wide and accessible to visitors using wheelchairs.
kok体育赛事There are a total of four orange ramps across the front corridor, where the lifts are located. All ramps have handrails on one side.
All meeting room doors open inwards and range between 75 and 85cm in width.

There is an accessible toilet located near reception on the sixth floor.
The toilet door opens inwards and is 87cm wide.
There is a café located through a door off the reception area.
